Tips and Tricks #1 2025

Wednesday 2 April at 9.15am is our first tips and tricks session for 2025. We have a lawyer and health and safety consultant to speak to us about EOTC.

EOTC (where there are increased risks), is a part of the job that deserves special attention.

We are fortunate to have Joseph Lill leading us in this session.

Joe Lill has a long involvement with health and safety.  As a former lawyer, he has prosecuted and defended many cases and now works with businesses to review their systems, ensure they are appropriately implemented, and carries out investigations into serious harm or fatal events.

Joe has previously been involved with cases involving schools that have been prosecuted.  He has brought this experience to his more recent engagements which involve investigating events to identify if processes have been properly followed as well as supporting a school with EOTC activity planning and preparation.  It is an area which continues to evolve and the standards expected of principals and boards remain high.

Joe will cover tips and tricks for planning and managing EOTC activities as well as what to do if something serious does happen during a school event.
